AMAs 1989
The unforgettable 1989 performance of Livin' on a prayer/Wanted Dead or Alive that kick-started the MTV Unplugged series. It's just brilliant, they have never done it better.
KEEP THE FAITH - An Evening with Bon Jovi
Those must be the tightest jeans in the history of humanity. This show is very dear to my heart because it's the show that was running on cable when I discovered these guys so I watched it over and over and over and over again. I still don't get bored, it's just too pretty.
LIVE FROM LONDON - Wembley Stadium 1995
Legendary. Some footage of this show was used in the These days video. It's an amazing show, the guys were at their best (specially Richie) and it made their 90's comeback come full circle. It represents how huge they had become once again, how triumphant they were with the new album, having survived all the other music trends that were going around back then. In my opinion this is what took them to the next level, they stopped struggling to survive, they were back for good and they definitely stablished themselves as rock gods. It's just glorious, I can't quite find words to describe it, not even in my own language! So just watch the DVD if you can get it, it's priceless.
THE CRUSH TOUR - Giants' Stadium
THIS LEFT FEELS RIGHT - Live from the Borgata (Atlantic City)
I seriously recommend it. I'm very fond of that record and this show is just great, I would love to see them in a more intimate show some time. This is just a sneak peak, I chose Wanted Dead or Alive 'cause it's my favourite BJ song EVER and what they did is genius (I still prefer the original version anyway). The Last man standing version is spectacular and OMG You give love a bad name is brilliant (mmm those squeals...).
BOUNCE LIVE IN NYC
Me being a sucker for graphics I really liked what they did with the lighting and the colour-b&w thing. Here's the performance of Hook me up which I think sounded great. Another one is Misunderstood ("I'm a strong man...with a strong butt" ha ha - cracks me up everytime). And well...there's nothing better than jeans and a plain black T, is there?
WHEN WE WERE BEAUTIFUL
Though, as I have mentioned, was kinda taken aback by the whole "Bon Jovi Inc." thing, IT IS anyway a must-see documentary and it's intimate and real and honest, whether we like it or not. I could barely make it through the secon time I saw it and probably want watch it for a long time, in order for me to do it I must be in serious withdrawal, otherwise I've had enough, I don't want to see the pile of dirt swept beneath the carpet. Here is an extract.
LOST HIGHWAY: The Concert
I would loooove to be in one of these more intimate shows...It's top of my list in my BJ to-do list.
LIVE AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
A reservoir of great performances like I'll be there for you by Richie and Hallellujah.
JON ON LARRY KING
The Sexiest Man Alive part is really funny.
JON ON CENTERSTAGE
"You make me puke" Ha Ha Ha. Just watch it please.
RICHIE AND HIS GUITARS
If my guitar teacher looked this good I would have never learnt anything...
KEYBOARD LESSONS BY DAVID
BTW: yummy!
